Research activities
My research areas (Computer Networks) cover network and service architectures (SOA, Cloud and NaaS), network virtualization and Cloud Networking, QoS and information models for network management. Another related area is ITS (Intelligent Traffic Systems) architectures and vehicular networks, in which I collaborate (since 2008) with my colleagues from L2TI and Mexican colleagues in the supervision of two PhD thesis.
My most recent work is focused on the convergence between the architectural and informational dimensions of Future Services and Networks, in particular with cloud architectures and platforms, dynamic composition of virtualized network services, and dynamic deployment of virtual services and networks slices in 5G context.
